Triple Band Notched UWB Monopole Antenna using Split Ring Resonators

Abstract— In this paper, triple band-notched ultra wideband (UWB) antenna for UWB applications is presented. By etching out two elliptic single complementary split-ring resonators of different dimensions in the radiating patch, notch bands around WiMAX (3.3-3.8 GHz) and WLAN (5.15-5.85 GHz) are obtained. Rejection of X-band frequencies is achieved by placing two rectangular split ring resonators near the patch-feed line junction of the antenna.
